This lip balm is so incredible for your lips. I can’t image using anything other than this. Friends and family rave about this lip balm and tell me all the time how great their lips feel. Since it uses Eucalyptus oil and Peppermint oil, it’s all great for improving breathing preventing infections. The Avocado oil helps make your lips look plump and full. The coconut oil and beeswax give it a smooth hydration that can be a life saver in those winter months.
When you make this recipe you’ll never buy another lip balm again. If you really wanted some color you could even take a piece of lip stick and add it but I prefer the natural look so I am going to stick to that today.
So here is what you’ll need for your plumping lip balm
Makes: 4 lip balm containers
- 1 tbsp beeswax
- 1 tbsp coconut oil
- 1 tsp avocado oil
- 5 drops of eucalyptus essential oil
- 5 drops of peppermint oil
In a metal pot (stainless steel or use a metal bowl to steam the oils to avoid contact with any dishware) melt down your beeswax and coconut oil together (you may even be able to do this in the microwave) that being said, I haven’t tested it. Take your beeswax and coconut oil mixture off the heat and immediately add your avocado oil and essential oils. Stir together and add to your lip balm containers. For quick drying and a nice even layer, put the balms in your refrigerator. These will never lose their integrity, but to be safe I would suggest a shelf life of 1 year.
If you’re having trouble finding any of these ingredients, check out your local grocery store and Michael’s craft store for the oil and beeswax. In addition you can always order all of these products on Amazon.
